About Winters:

Founded in 1875, Winters claimed a special place in California’s history as the Sacramento Valley’s commercial center for agriculture and passenger rail service. Throughout the years, Winters has retained its original historic charm and rural lifestyle.  Streets are lined with majestic trees, Victorian homes and beautiful parks where residents can be found walking their dogs, playing sports and hanging out with their families.  The idyllic Historic District in Winters celebrates history with beautiful architecture which beckons you to relax and take it all in. World class cuisine can be found at the many restaurants throughout Winters as well as unique shopping, wine tasting rooms and an opera house which overlooks Main Street.

Winters is the place for outdoor enthusiasts.  Whether your idea of hiking is crossing over the newly restored Historic Railroad Bridge, taking a stroll along the path along the Putah Creek Nature Park or biking through the gorgeous countryside, begin your adventure here in Winters.  If kayaking, boating, fishing, camping and wildlife viewing are more your style, you will enjoy the close proximity of Lake Berryessa and the Lake Solano County Park. Need more of a view? Get high up in a hot air balloon!  No matter what you like to do, Winters is the perfect place to, enjoy, eat, shop and stay!
