Spring in Winters brings everyone outdoors to enjoy the new blooms and the seasonal flavors our town has to offer.
Almond blooms, mustard fields, cool mornings and warm afternoons. Springtime is truly magical in Winters.
Between late February and early March hundreds of almond orchards are in bloom around Winters. In March through April the mustard fields take over farmlands and even in between the orchards as the fruit and nut trees start to form new leaves in the warm and welcoming sun. At the Winters Fruit Tree Farm Stand, you can grab seasonal citrus fruits like Trovita Oranges, Lane Late Navels and Valencia Oranges all grown on their own farm.
Springtime also offers the perfect weather to take an easy hike at the Putah Creek Wildelife Area or for a more moderate trail, hike the Blue Ridge to South Summit overlook at Stebbin’s Cold Canyon. You’ll see poppys blooming on the trails and on your drive through the countryside.
When you visit downtown you’ll be welcomed by gorgeous Spring flower blooms that are popping up all over town. Relax outside in the covered outdoor seating area and catch a live band playing on Main Street on the fourth Saturday of every month.
Spring in Winters, California is pleasant and welcoming especially after our cool, wet winters. You’ll see plenty of locals enjoying the outdoors and exploring downtown themselves to catch the latest seasonal flavors at a local restaurant and new brews and wines by local makers.
