Capay Valley

River Fox Train

One of the best ways to enjoy the Yolo Countryside is on the rails! Relive a part of the the Gold Rush and gem mining era on a family-friendly Train Excursion. Sip and savor while taking in breathtaking views of the countryside on their Old Vine Express, Beer Train or Happy Hour Express. You can even pedal your way down the tracks on their pedal-powered Railbikes! Clarksburg Wine Country

Clarksburg is an unexpected and unique wine country just west of Sacramento. You'll find quaint vineyards to your right and the Sacramento River to your left as you drive south on River Road. Stop at picturesque vineyards like Heringer Estates, Bogle Vineyards and Juliette Winery along the way or at the Old Sugar Mill to try multiple wineries in just one stop!

Dunnigan Hills

Dunnigan Hills is an AVA located in northwest Yolo County. Its gently rolling topography and Mediterranean climate make it well suited for the production of bright, full-bodied wines made from Chardonnay, Syrah and Tempranillo.

Wineries in this region include Matchbook Wine Company— a family-owned and operated winery with 1,600 beautiful acres of estate vineyards producing a unique family of wines that showcase the flavor and potential of the area. Also located in the Dunnigan Hills region is Grindstone Winery— another family owned & operated winery serving award winning wines in their picturesque outdoor patio. Enjoy a picnic at either or both wineries while taking in gorgeous views of the Yolo Countryside.
