Visiting Winters During Almond Blossom Season
Mid February through early March is a great time to visit Winters to enjoy the magical sights of Almond Blossom season. Thousands of almond trees bloom white flowers in the orchards that surround downtown Winters. Here’s an itinerary for how you can celebrate the wonderful season as we say farewell to Winters and welcome Spring!
Book a stay at a local hotel, Inn or bed and breakfast in Winters to enjoy our small town and the magic of the season. Visit our Stay page to learn more.
Enjoy a casual breakfast at Putah Creek Cafe. We recommend ordering their mouth-watering waffles as dessert to your main meal.
Go on a Garden Tour at Park Winters. The scenes and scents of the The Yolo Countryside will leave you feeling nourished and invigorated.
Visit our two wineries including Turkovich Wines or Berryessa Gap Winery. If you're more of a beer person, then head to Hooby’s Brewing or Berryessa Brewing Co.
Grab dinner at any of our local restaurants. We have many to choose from depending on what you're craving!
On your second day grab a coffee at Steady Eddy’s and pay a visit our local shops including Winters Collective , Farmer’s Closet Boutique. They have unique, artisanal finds you wont see anywhere else!
Take a short road trip to Capay Valley in The Yolo Countryside to enjoy Almond Festival festivities like the Almond Festival Parade in Esparto, Almond Blossom Farm tours at Seka Hills. Try to also sneak in a visit to Capay Valley Lavendar to shop their organic lavender products and enjoy breathtaking views of the lavender fields and gorgeous Capay Valley!

Walk onto private property. Please note that all of the almond orchards in Yolo County are private property and trespassing laws apply. Violators are subject to costly citations.
Park along an irrigation canal, drive on or block a farm access road. Your safety is important and parking in these areas can be dangerous, as well as result in a ticket or tow.
Pick any flowers, break branches, confiscate any crop on farmland or other private property.
Litter or dispose of trash in any receptacle not designated for it or any area where a trash receptacle is not present.
